Are baby showers and couple’s baby showers a thing of the past? No, not at all, but a gender reveal party is a great excuse to bring family and friends together to celebrate one of life’s most special moments!
I was delighted to be invited to my first gender reveal party this spring and could hardly wait to see how it was done! My college suite mate Celeste was the first one of our group to get married and naturally the first to become a Grandmother! And what a wonderful grandmother she will be!
With Logan and Jeff living out of state, Celeste managed to host three parties in this one weekend so they could celebrate a high school graduation and a cousin’s baby shower while everyone was in town. And in true Celeste-style it was perfect!
Many thanks to Celeste and Logan for including me on this special day for their family!
First, the invite.

And as all monogram shop owners will tell you… They are really the first to know! Even before the Grandmothers!
Julie Stevens of @StitchandInk was truly the first to know!

And how do you pronounce it? (char·cu·te·rie)
Charcuterie is, according to Webster, “a delicatessen specializing in dressed meats and meat dishes.”
For several years we have seen charcuterie boards and plates on menus at our favorite restaurants from NYC to Main Street. So while the GOWHIMSEY team was brainstorming for our catalog photo shoot, we thought of creating a charcuterie and cheese plate for our new ceramic Everyday 2016 rectangle platter.
According to Chris and Steve at the Livewell Network site the combination of dried meats and cheese is a perfect go-to appetizer and get this…NO COOK! Now that is something we love for summer days in the South! At http://livewellnetwork.com/Steven-and-Chris/episodes/Charcuterie-and-Cheese-Plate-101/8472341 they give a great shopping list to create this appetizer that fits our rectangle platter perfectly.
We are delighted to be introducing our new Everyday 2016 tabletop line! This line is only available to retailers so tell your favorite gift shop about this fabulous and fun new line. Follow our blog as we introduce these new piece types and, of course, our favorite recipes!
Here’s to your next opportunity to share a charcuterie board with your friends and family!
Thanks for enjoying our products as much as we enjoy creating and bringing them to you.
